Training module 1
Digital photography & video surveillance
For: For those who have requirement to undertake covert surveillance operations.
Duration: Three days
Purpose: To help these specialist officers produce high quality photographic & video images during surveillance operations
Outcomes: Staff will be better able to:
An ex MPS professional police photographer with over 20 years experience in surveillance operations working with the MPS and NCIS will deliver this course. All equipment including digital cameras, lenses, computers, printers and materials will be supplied. Pre –read material will also be available prior to course.
Training module 2
Surveillance Law, ECHR & RIPA
For: For those who have requirement to undertake covert surveillance operations.
Duration: Two days
Purpose: To help these specialist officers have a greater understanding of the legal and legislative elements of surveillance activities
Outcomes: Staff will be better able to:

An accredited police trainer will present this training.
Training module 3
Urban surveillance - practical techniques
For: Those who have requirement to undertake covert surveillance operations.
Duration: Five days
Purpose: To help these specialist officers have a greater confidence in surveillance gathering techniques utilising planning, work craft and camera skills
Outcomes: Staff will be better able to:
Please note equipment including cameras, computers and materials will be provided for this course.
Module 1 is a pre-requisite of this course.
An accredited police trainer will present this training along with the photographic trainer of module 1.
